Puppy is Reserved. Now what?

After the puppy is reserved, we will provide you with updates and pictures as the puppy grows and develops. This is a good time to read more about the breed and how to raise a puppy.

It is also a good time to start looking into finding a good veterinarian. You will be required to take your new puppy to your veterinarian within 2 business days after recieving your puppy.

Also, you may want to start looking into local pet groomers for your new puppy needs. Goldendoodles have curly coats that need regular maintenance to keep up with their beautify coats.

We will also post a lot of updates on our Facebook page, Honey Creek Doodles, so you can watch your puppy grow. As they grow, they will receive their immunizations and de-wormings per vet’s schedule. The puppies are born inside of our home, with 24/7 monitoring. They are handled daily by myself and the children. Puppies are exposed to the normal household noise. They also get weekly baths, exposed to fan and its noise, nails trimmed, and lots of outdoor play time(depending on the weather conditions).

Visiting your Puppy

Many people ask to visit the puppies or to come and look at puppies to decide which puppy they want.  We have done research on this and talked to our vet. It is not recommended for anyone to visit until the puppies turn 6 weeks of age and have received their first immunizations. This is done to limit exposure of viruses and bateria to our puppies. By doing this, we prevent common diseases such as parvovirus that can be deadly if contracted. Thank you for understanding why we take these measures.

Picking up your puppy

Puppies are ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. We do not ship the puppies and believe in face-to-face handoff. We like to meet the new puppy parents in person. You are welcome to come into my home to pick up your puppy. We can also deliver by car or meet you. This needs to be discussed ahead of time with time and location. An additional transportation fee may apply depending on the distance and MUST be scheduled with me ahead of time.

Be sure to have a checkup appointment already prescheduled for your puppy with your vet. Once you receive the puppy in your hands and head home, please remember to avoid public places until they have received all of their immunizations. Since puppies cannot receive all of the immunizations at once, they are scheduled per your vet to come in to get immunized until they are complete. For the safety of your new puppy, please avoid public areas such as gas stations, parks (especially dog parks), walks in the neighborhood, etc. until the puppy has had all immunizations.

When you come to pickup your puppy, the remaining balance of the puppy is due. $1,500 For final payment, we will accept CASH ONLY.

We have a contract and bill of sale that needs to be filled out and signed either before you pickup your puppy or at time of pickup. We can discuss this when we discuss puppy deposit.  The contract is done to protect Seller, Buyer, and Puppy.
